Nature of services

Velaris Co. (“Velaris”) provides M&A advisory and introduction services in connection with sports assets and adjacent sectors: sports M&A, sports real estate, entertainment real estate, and media rights and sponsorships. Velaris advises and represents clients on buy-side and sell-side transactions and introduces parties to one another and to its network. Velaris does not provide investment management, portfolio management or fund management services, does not arrange or place securities, does not hold or handle client funds, and does not provide investment, legal, tax or accounting advice. Parties should obtain their own independent professional advice before entering into any transaction.

R² Exchange

R² Exchange is a private markets network co-hosted by Velaris and STATUS Branding. Membership is by direct conversation and subject to a Master Service Agreement. Subscription fees compensate for ongoing sourcing, curation and platform access and are not contingent on, or calculated as a percentage of, any financing, investment or transaction value. Milestone and introduction fees for individual engagements, where they apply, are set out separately in writing. Access to the network and its deal feed is ongoing access and curation, not a guarantee of any specific opportunity or outcome.

Events

The Sports & Capital Dinner series consists of private, invitation-only gatherings held under Chatham House rules. Attendance is at the hosts’ discretion. Figures published about the network and about attendance are drawn from our own records at the date stated and are provided for information only.

Partners

Velaris works alongside independent partner firms, including STATUS Branding, Luxury V3, Vestible and Athvance Capital, and alongside the firms shown on this website as friends of the network. These are separate legal entities; references to them do not imply that Velaris is responsible for their services, nor that they are responsible for Velaris’s. Where an introduction leads to a transaction requiring broker-dealer or other regulated involvement, that step is carried out by Vestible or another appropriately authorised firm.

Regulatory status

Velaris Co. is a private advisory company incorporated in Portugal. Velaris is not authorised or regulated as an investment firm and does not carry on any activity for which authorisation by the CMVM or any other competent authority is required. Where any aspect of a transaction requires a regulated party, that activity is performed by a duly authorised firm.
